Exactly 20 years ago, on March 7th 2003 „Merging Oceans“ was released on Endless Records. I read a story about a boat builder who dreamed of sailing the oceans in an ancient boat, connecting them with his trip. I jumped from my chair touched by the story, took a walk beside the river Rhein in Cologne where I lived in those days and came back home with a first draft of this tune in my head. I still can hear both within this track, the longing and the slight anxiety of leaving comfort zones and diving into such an adventure.
